Match Made in Air
Naava at the Finnish Ministry of Environment
The Finnish Ministry of Environment moved to new, fully renovated premises in central Helsinki at the end of spring 2015. The focus of the renovation project was on creating a natural indoor environment with fresh air.
As the project with the new premises had its focus on a high quality indoor air and a natural environment, Naava became a fixed element included in the modernly designed property. Together with designers from Workspace, the Naavas were included in the design in a natural way.
Naava conveys the same values as the Finnish Ministry of the Environment want their new premises to stand for: a visually attractive working environment that ensures a fresh indoor air with the help of Finnish innovations. With the help of Naava, the Ministry have now managed to bring a bit of nature indoors.
Eye-catching customs
Two customized Naavas, designed accordingly to the Ministry’s wishes, were built into the new premises. The six meter wide Naava Custom can now be found in the common area where the personnel of the Ministry gather for joint lunches and coffee breaks, and now also a breath of fresh air.
Another, four meter tall Naava Custom is catching the eyes of visitors downstairs in the lobby. With the windows of the lobby facing out towards one of the busiest streets in Helsinki, bypassers also have a chance to enjoy a bit of nature in the middle of the city.
“For the Finnish Ministry of the Environment it’s important to support Finnish know-how, especially within the Cleantech field where focus lies on environmental technology, as it’s close to the Ministry’s values,” said Development Manager Kimmo Takamaa.
We all need clean air
As Takamaa sees it, Naava has enormous potential on the international market. Around the world, clean air is a necessity only a small amount of people have access to today. “Naava has the will, energy and knowledge it takes for a company to take its business abroad and make it work,” said Takamaa.
